Russian airline “Ural airlines” announced the cancellation of all flights from Moscow airport “Zhukovsky” in Paris and nice. On opening regular flights, it was announced in February 2019, however, the Russian and French authorities have been unable to agree on the status of the airport. On Thursday, may 16, reported the Agency “Interfax”.
The airline explained that the reason for the cancellation was the failure of aviation authorities of France, who consider the “Zhukovsky” as the fourth airport for Moscow, and not regional. Regional status, which insists Russia, gives the airport the right not to comply with the requirement that the same number of flights for Russian and foreign airlines.
“Since may 18, the airline “Ural airlines” cancels all flights routes Zhukovsky-Paris-Zhukovsky and the Zhukovsky-nice-Zhukovsky”, — reads the statement of the carrier. Direct flights Zhukovsky-Paris was supposed to open on 23 April, and Zhukovsky-nice — may 1, but the airline operates within two weeks of flights on the corrected route via Kaluga.
