VTSIOM recorded historically minimum rating of trust to Putin

The rating of trust to President Vladimir Putin, fell to 31.7%. This is evidenced by the data of poll VTSIOM, conducted from 13 to 19 may. It is the very minimum figure.

The President has consistently trust the Russians much more than other politicians or officials. In second place in the polls in polls — Minister of defence Sergey Shoigu from 14.8% in the third — the Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov with 13%. The confidence rating of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was 7.6%.

In January 2019, when trust rating of Vladimir Putin fell to 33.4%, the source of the “Rain” of VTSIOM notedthat we are talking about a historical low.

The General Director of the sociological centre Valery Fyodorov in March 2015, told RIA Novosti that the minimum rating of trust to Putin at that time were recorded in March 2005, after the monetization of benefits. The figure was then 45%.

A year ago, in may 2018, Putin’s trust rating was 45.7%. Confidence in the President began to decline sharply in the summer of 2018 after increasing the retirement age.

The trust rating is determined using the open-ended question: “which of the politicians you would trust the decision of important state questions?” The question assumes an unlimited number of answers.

Polls and expects the approval rate — using a closed question about the support activities of a politician. The approval rate of Vladimir Putin remains at the level of 65-66% (at a much lower confidence rating).
