The appointment of a very large fine one of the major sellers of electric cars Tesla in Russia ended with a court in Yekaterinburg. A local resident who purchased the Model X crossover in the configuration 100D impressive for the money spent on it only 4 months.
The purchase took place in December 2017: a crossover appreciated 13.13 million rubles, but gave the owner until April next. As reported Znak.com problems with the use of the electric vehicle began in August.
However, the publication mentions only a single problem – the failure of both electronic keys. As follows from the materials of the case, the seller offered the Complainant to reprogram the key alone to deliver her belonging Tesla Model X at the authorized service center, located in Berlin, but suffered a logical failure.
The situation lasted until November, and then was sent a claim to the Oktyabrsky district court of Yekaterinburg. The winner of electrocreaser demanded to return money for the car and assign to the seller a penalty and to recover from him the legal costs. The publication also mentions that the seller was trying to prove that the problems with the keys caused by the customer, but the court these arguments into account, not adopted.
The outcome of the proceedings was a round sum of 20 million rubles, which will pay the seller. Of 13.13 million of them amount to the cost of electrotransfer, the rest of the aforementioned fine and court costs. The Regional appeal court considered the district court’s decision upheld.
