Sunday, June 23 in Prague was the largest since 1989, a demonstration, according to Czech media. On the street, out of 250 thousand people demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, billionaire Andrew Babish. Forbes estimates his fortune at $3.5 billion.
The protesters accused officials of fraud with European Union funds.
The protests against the Babish began in April. Earlier, the police accused the Babish illegally obtaining EU grants for the company in the amount of 2 million euros. After that, the European Commission suspected him of conflict of interest.
However, Andrew Babich called the accusations by the intrigues of political opponents and refused to resign.
