The French President also expressed his satisfaction with the first constructive contacts between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine. Finally, Emmanuel macron underscored the need to continue to implement the mechanism of the Franco-Russian coordination to resolve the crisis.

In addition, President Vladimir Putin invited his French counterpart to attend the celebrations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the great Patriotic war. “Emmanuel macron accepted with gratitude the invitation of Vladimir Putin to take part in the celebrations in Moscow on 9 may, 2020 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war”, — noted in the Kremlin.
