On the morning of Wednesday, July 24, in Moscow detained opposition leader Alexei Navalny. This was announced by himself, recording a video message from the police station. The arrest took place three days before the rally that the opposition planned to hold the walls of the Moscow mayoralty. Navalny faces arrest for up to 30 days.
Being in the Department of the MIA of Russia in the Danilovsky district of Moscow, the opposition leader saidthat the detention occurred at a time when he went out for a morning jog.
