Editor-in-chief of “Rain” called on interrogation in SK

On Saturday, July 27, a group of policemen came to the editorial office of the TV channel “Rain” and handed the chief editor of “Rain” Alexander Perepelova a summons for questioning as a witness. The head of “Agora” Pavel Chikov assumesthat we are talking about the criminal case on obstruction of the work of election commissions (article 141 of the criminal code).

The case was instituted in connection with mass protest actions in Moscow from-for not admission of independent candidates to the elections to the Moscow city Duma. Earlier in the case questioned the candidates Dmitry Gudkov, Love Sable, Julia Galiamina, Ivan Zhdanov, and others. A number of opposition candidates were searched.

Earlier on Saturday, police came to the Studio “Bulk Live”, which was broadcasting live from the rally in Central Moscow. Presenter Vladimir Milov was detained.

UPD: Alexander Perepelov came in for questioning on the evening of July 27 with his attorney. “Interrogation related to our work activities while covering protests,” — said the chief editor of “Rain” TV channel. At the same time, with her words, the investigator is not informed about what the criminal case was going on.
