Specialists portal LongHash believe that market activity ICO has fallen to virtually zero, and in 2020, the model of the initial offering of coins completely disappear.
Analysts portal LongHash analyzed each ICO held in 2018 or 2019. Even after the beginning of the bear market in January 2018 ICO still held at a frequency in excess of a hundred every month, but by mid-2019 the flow of projects was reduced to almost zero.
The amount of funds that can be collected during the ICO has also declined. In 2018, fourteen different projects reached 50 million U.S. dollars. In 2019, only one project (Contentos) managed to come close to this figure.
In total, according to the ICO Watch, in 2018, the ICO has attracted more than 7.6 billion dollars. And for the period from January to August 2019, this figure amounted to 338 million dollars.
One possible reason for the incredible reduction in the number of initial proposals is to strengthen regulatory control throughout the world. In LongHash are confident that the trends this year indicate that the ICO as a viable model of fundraising has become obsolete.
