In the U.S. 95% of baby food contains toxic metals

According to a new study, published on Thursday, October 16, toxic heavy metals likely present in baby food that you feed your child.

What does this mean for children’s health? The chemicals contained in baby food – arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury are neurotoxins that can permanently change the developing brain, destroying IQ and affect behavior.

This study confirms the results of previous research Management on sanitary inspection behind quality of foodstuff and medicines (Food and Drug Administration – FDA), which was discovered by one or more identical metals in 33 of the 39 tested types of baby food. The analysis showed that the products with the highest risk are rice, sweet potatoes and fruit juices.

In the new study notes that these metals are in all products, not just baby food. They get into food as the result of environmental pollution. Crops absorb from the soil and water and are contained in natural products. Their presence in baby food is of particular concern because children are more sensitive to toxic influences.

The tests were commissioned by the organization of the Healthy Babies, Bright Futures, which calls itself the Union of scientists, nonprofit organizations, and donors trying to reduce exposure to neurotoxic chemicals during the first months of life.

Rice porridge, rice meals and snacks based on rice headed the list of the most toxic products for children.

In these popular baby food contains not only inorganic arsenic, the most toxic form of arsenic, but almost always it is contaminated with all four toxic metals, “- said in the report.

Previous studies have shown that even low levels of arsenic can affect development of the nervous system of the child.
