Blockchain platform TBCASoft, technology giant IBM and Telecom conglomerate SoftBank announced a collaboration to implement the system, blockchain payments between operators.
According to a press release, the solution will allow operators to use the blockchain the Blockchain Carrier consortium Study Group (CBSG) developed by TBCASoft and SoftBank. At the moment the system has already connected 18 participants.
The app will allow users to use their phones to make payments to foreign companies and shops. Founder and CEO TBCASoft Lin Wu said:
We have worked closely with leading Telecom operators in the last 3 years as part of the CBSG consortium to stimulate the introduction of the platform CCPS. We believe that this cooperation will be beneficial to our customers and partners, and telecommunication industry.
IBM leverages experience with 80% of the telecommunications companies in the world to support the scale of the ecosystem. TBCASoft also plans to use blockchain IBM to support multiple cloud systems. Vice-President of the Department of telecommunication services, IBM said:
Telecommunications blockchain network for payments will help to change the ways of communication of operators with partners and customers, as well as helping to provide innovative payment solutions.
As previously reported, Samsung Pay and billing platform Finablr signed a partnership agreement, intending to integrate a new service of cross-border transfers in the mobile app Samsung Pay.
