Poland punishes investors “Nord stream-2”: one is already fined by 40.3 million euros

Official Warsaw big took the investors of the project “Northern stream – 2”. Representatives of large business involved in the construction of the gas pipeline from Russia to Germany through the Baltic sea are liable to be fined a very large sum.

In Poland, the Antimonopoly regulator UOKiK has imposed a large fine on French company Engie, which is one of the investors in the project of the gas pipeline from Russia to Germany “Nord stream – 2”, informs with reference to RBC.

The report stated that the Polish UOKiK fined Engie 172 million zlotys, which is 40.3 million euros, with the following wording: “the lack of cooperation in the case of the construction of the pipeline”.

By the way, earlier the Deputy Minister of economic development, trade and agriculture of Poland Taras Kachka said that Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic States will find effective ways to block construction of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”.

As previously reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his opinion on the project “Nord stream – 2”.
