Iraqi protesters have achieved the resignation of the Prime Minister

Amid anti-government protests in Iraq, Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi announced his decision to resign.

The protests raging in Iraq since October, became the largest in the country for the last 16 years. During the riots have already killed about a hundred people, while according to unofficial data the number of victims has already exceeded 400.

In late October, Abdul-Mahdi was about to resign, but he insisted that was agreed upon his successor.
