Archaeologists have found furnaces of the XVI century at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra

Russian scientists have discovered several brick outhouses furnaces of the XVI century, which, they suppose, was preparing food for the pilgrims of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra.

Found oven the visible image, as lived abode, and the legends about the monastery boilers materialize. Judging by the bases of these stoves, they were designed for cooking for large numbers of people, — TASS quoted expedition leader Asya Engovatova.

Archaeologists found the Foundation of the furnaces near Smolensk Church and bell tower. Here, according to sources from the archive of the monastery, at the turn of XV-XVI centuries was the monastery kitchen. Next to the furnaces, there were found fragments of ceramic vessels with incised or carved symbols, letters, and inscriptions. All the expedition discovered in the North-Western part of the Lavra more than 300 archaeological sites.

Wrote experts have discovered ancient inscriptions near the hills of Jabal al-Lawson in Saudi Arabia. They are written in obscure language, Hebrew literature and are at the place where according to the Bible, God met with Moses.
