As researchers found, the home environment, staph spreads easily. You can become infected through contact with other family members and by touching contaminated surfaces. The bacterium can cause pneumonia, bruise organs and even lead to lethal outcome in case of contact with the bloodstream, according to the portal Medical Xpress November 26.
The study was conducted in the homes of children who have undergone treatment for staph. Scientists took swabs from the nostrils, armpits and groin area people, as well as samples from Pets and from various surfaces.
The bacteria found in half of the participants and one third of the Pets and in the home environment — on the door handles of refrigerators, sink faucets and countertops in the bathroom, the sheets and towels, light switches, phones, TV remotes, keyboards and mice. It is through everyday objects spread bacteria in most cases.
Scientists are often advised to wash hands with soap and water, especially after using the toilet and before preparing or eating food, use disinfectants when cleaning and do not share personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes.
Previously, scientists have described how fasting can extend life.
