Nike has received a patent for a system of tokenization shoes on the Ethereum blockchain for its authentication and sale.
The manufacturer intends to create a unique identity and issue a token format ERC721 or ERC1155 for some sneakers. Buyers will be able to unlock these tokens, linking the shoes with the ID of the owner, identifying the property right. In addition to digital rights, the token also allows you to record information about the genotype of the product, including specific attributes, colors, styles.
System CryptoKick will allow customers to get their control over the shoes and its design. For example, the owner can limit the number of exact copies of their branded sneakers that can be produced.
You can also use “surrogate motherhood” that gives others the right to combine and mix designs of footwear, and conditions of care. In addition, the rights of ownership for each generation can be tied to the original, the real pair.
Many brands are using the blockchain to authenticate products. Recently their number was joined by Italian automaker Lamborghini.
