The carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” with navigation satellite “GLONASS-M” was launched on Wednesday, December 11, from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. About it “RIA Novosti” reported in Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry.

The launch took place at 11:54 from a launcher №3, said the defense Ministry. Prelaunch operations took place normally. “Means of ground automated control of spacecraft of the Russian orbital group monitored the launch and flight of missiles,” — said the defense Ministry.

Start of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” c the Plesetsk cosmodrome was scheduled for yesterday, but for technical reasons it was postponed to December 11.

In November, the Ministry of defence published a video launch of “Soyuz-2.1 V” with the military companion onboard. Optical sensors of the spacecraft allows you to take pictures of the planet’s surface.
