“Nord stream – 2” will be completed despite sanctions: Forbes journalists called the cause

Sanctions of the USA concerning the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream – 2” were late for exactly a year. Now nothing and nobody can prevent Russia to finish the job. This opinion was voiced journalists edition of Forbes.

Recently, the White house said that until January 20, 2020 give a chance to all companies participating in the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream – 2”, to withdraw from the project and thereby avoid sanctions, informs resource with reference to the Russian Dialogue.

In the West, a new project is perceived as a slap in the face to Ukraine from Russia, which is constantly blackmailed his pipeline to the EU. After the gas conflict Moscow and Kiev went their own ways. Russia, in order not to expose its customers from Europe, was forced to look for an alternative. In the end, it was decided to build a gas pipeline to bypass Ukraine and directly to European customers.

Forbes journalists emphasize that as soon as Russia and Ukraine finally settle down everything and sign a new gas contract, the US will lose the opportunity to blackmail the whole of Europe Ukraine.

The publication notes that the sanctions are too late, and the White house they don’t like.

Alexander Novak, Minister of energy of Russia, said that the construction of “Nord stream – 2” complete Russian companies, not to substitute “under attack” US Europeans.
