NASA posted a photo of noctilucent clouds taken from orbit, calling the “postcard from the edge of space”.
“These clouds of electric blue can only be seen when the sun descends beyond the earth’s horizon and illuminates them,” — said in the caption to the photo in Instagram.

The Agency said that the picture was taken from the ISS at a height of 269 miles (433 km) above the southern Pacific ocean. It is noted that noctilucent clouds, or “night shining clouds”, the highest in the atmosphere.
Previously, NASA had reported the approach of a potentially hazardous asteroid.
