Recently in Idlib province, the situation has only worsened, especially against the background when Turkey supports the Syrian rebels, who are fighting with the government forces of Assad. Moscow decided to comment on the escalation of the conflict in Syria.
Dmitry Peskov, press Secretary of the President of Russia said that Moscow does not like going implementation of the Sochi agreements with Turkey on Syria, informs a resource “Russian Dialogue“.
The Kremlin was quick to remind Turkey that Moscow and Ankara have committed themselves to combating terrorists in Idlib province. However, Pro-Turkish forces are fighting with the government army of Syria, which fully conforms to the agreements reached in Sochi.
Today, 19 February, Turkish President said it was ready to resume hostilities in Syria, if Assad does not withdraw its troops from the province of Idlib.
The media also reported that NATO will not support Turkey in case a military operation in Syria, as fears to prevent the collision of their forces with the Russian army.
