Blockchain TON launched without the participation of the Telegram

The community of developers and validators TON launch its own blockchain platform Free TON with native token Crystal TON (TON) on the basis of previously published source code.

This month it became clear that U.S. regulators will not allow the Gram token to enter the market, and the blockchain TON has launched a similar platform under a different name and with their cryptocurrency.

May 7, with a presentation of the major components on GitHub OS TON, TON Labs has announced the launch of a free version of Telegram Open Blockchain, Free TON.

Blockchain Free TON is an independent network operating on the principles of the Declaration of decentralization (DOD). Legally, a new platform has nothing to do with the Telegram and its legal battles with the SEC, however, the technical characteristics of the new network is no different from Telegram Open Network.

Free TON plans to launch in stages

The first step is to run a test network, the issue of decentralized browser Surf, token TON of Cash and decentralized staking-pool DePool. The developers should have time to configure the basic network settings to activate the built-in code bombs decentralization (DTB).

At the end of the first stage of full control over the network should move to independent validators.

Native token TON will be distributed to different automatic “contracts-donors” (Giver). The blockchain will be released 5 billion TON, which will be distributed to project participants. Of the total number and 85% of the tokens will be distributed via the referral program, 10% will be given to the developers. The remaining 5% is intended for validators.

Will there be a new platform to be popular without an audience of messenger is hard to say even investors TON on money and launched an alternative platform.
