The US backed off after the high profile statements about the winners of Nazism

The United States tried to make excuses for the congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in which was no place for the Soviet Union.

The United States Embassy in Moscow are unable to explain why in a congratulatory message to the White house, timed to the 75th anniversary of the Victory, among the countries-winners of Nazism and only mentions the US and Britain, while the USSR is not a word. Diplomatic representation said nothing about this, but recalled the previous statements of American officials, recognizing the role of the Soviet people in the struggle against Nazism, reports the Russian Dialogue.

The President of the international Federation Council Committee Konstantin Kosachev believes that such a move could indicate an internal struggle within the us administration between supporters and opponents of rapprochement with Russia.
