In every cookbook there are a couple of recipes from boiled, fried or baked potatoes; recipes where the potatoes with something stuffed or where this vegetable plays the role of filling. On the basis of these records it is possible to make a weekly menu, where each meal will be the famous root vegetable.

If you are not familiar with lazy dumplings made from potatoes, it’s time to try something new. They are made from specially prepared mashed potatoes, but if you have a little bit yesterday, feel free to add it to the dough.


Potatoes — 4 PCs.

Wheat flour — 200 g

Salt — 1 tsp

Sunflower oil — 5 tbsp

Onion — 1 PC.

Mushrooms — 150 g

Black pepper (ground) — to taste


  • Boil the potatoes in their skins, then peel it and purruja, adding salt, pepper and 3 tbsp of sunflower oil.
  • Gradually add the flour (quantity may vary depending on the flours and gluten in it). Knead tight dough.
  • Divide the dough into 3-4 sausages. Each cut into rings with a thickness of about 3 cm, gently press down on each piece with your finger.
  • Put dumplings in boiling salted water, continually stir. Cooking should be about 10 minutes. Once the dumplings float, remove them from the water with a slotted spoon.
  • Preheat in a pan the remaining oil, lay first the finely diced onions then sliced mushrooms. Fry until Golden brown, without covering with a lid.
  • Serve dumplings, fragrant mushroom watering dressing.
