Researchers at University medical center of Amsterdam was found to have recovered from COVID-19 patients new much more powerful antibodies to the virus than antibodies in patients who recover from coronaviruses previously, the newspaper reports NL Times, citing doctors.

Scientists found two of the protein, which can help in making a promising cure for coronavirus. “These new antibodies are a hundred times stronger than the antibodies that have already been before,” – said the head of research Dr. Marit van Gils. It is noted that if the antibodies are stronger, this means that for effective treatment they required less and so the cure of them will be cheaper to produce.

“We tested in the lab all the antibodies from the blood of patients with COVID-19, and allocated to the most strong options,” she said.

The next step is to prove that the antibodies are safe to use. First, the tests will be carried out on laboratory animals. If the tests are successful, we will begin testing on humans. Dr. van Gils is hoped that testing on humans could start in early next year. You can then proceed to large-scale production.

Researchers from Amsterdam, will pave to test the blood recovered from COVID-19 patients and look for even more powerful antibodies. They hope to develop a kind of “cocktail” of antibodies to prevent infection with coronavirus, which will act as a vaccine with a short expiration date.
