In the United States have stopped issuing certain types of temporary work visas

The US President Donald trump by his decree suspended the issuance of certain types of temporary work visas until the end of 2020. This was reported on the White house website.

Clarifies that trump made the decision to keep jobs in the USA for American citizens in a pandemic coronavirus.

The order applies to H-1B visa (for skilled workers, including in the technology industry and science), H-2B (seasonal workers, for example, for employees of hotels or construction companies), H-4 (spouses of visa holders H-1B) L-1 (for managers working in large corporations) and some J-1 visa (for researchers, teachers and participants in cultural programmes and worker exchange programs).

The restrictions will take effect June 24. The decree does not affect those already in the United States.

At the same time employees of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Microsoft and Uber criticized the decision to stop issuing H-1B visa for highly skilled workers.

According to estimates by The Wall Street Journal, immigration restrictions affect 525 thousand people, including 170 thousand foreigners applying for a residence permit in the United States.
