Surely each of You have your own smartphone and You at least sometimes carry the movie with his help. However, when shooting on the move, the picture will inevitably “dance”, and from watching this video may make you dizzy.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel “New DiY” will tell You how he made the stabilizer for filming with a smartphone. Usually this device is called the Steadicam (steadicam).
This device is extremely easy to make even in home conditions.

The process of making.
The main material for this device will serve as a scrap oak Board.
On it the master marks the center, trying to avoid swirls, and draws circles for the four parts. It takes into account the gap, which is necessary for cutting out by a fret saw.
Fixing the workpiece to the workbench with a clamp, the author drills out the holes for the entrance of the canvas of the jigsaw. Also drilled a hole in the center.
It cuts out with an electric jigsaw, although you can use the manual.
The result is two rings, one small cylinder, and the outer ring with a small ledge on the outside.
On the remaining piece of Board and mark the contours of the handle, and it also is cut out with a jigsaw.
All details are carefully processed first major, and then fine-grained sandpaper. The main goal — to remove burrs and slightly to round the edges on the handle.
Now you need to connect the handle with the outer ring.
To do this, the author drills holes with a diameter of 8 mm in the handle and the protrusion on the ring.
The hole in the handle is filled with a bit of PVA glue and hammered the peg.
It remains to combine both parts and pull them clamp.
After drying glue the wizard again handles the connection, removing imperfections.
Now you need to drill holes in parts for axles.
The first thing the author points out in the machine grip the smallest cylindrical piece, and drill two shallow holes of diameter 6 mm at the sides. The holes are placed diametrically opposite each other.
In the two inner rings is also drilled two through holes, then a couple of the deaf.
The holes for these rings are as follows.
As the axes will serve as the pieces of aluminum tube or rod with an external diameter of 6 mm.
Through-hole in the first ring these axes are inserted into the cylinder bore.
The ends of the axes are fixed on the outside of the holes in the ring using hot glue.
After cooling, the excess adhesive is cut with a knife.
While the wooden parts should be free to move relative to each other. To reduce the friction of the axles on the wood, is to coat the inner surfaces of blind holes with paraffin or soap.
In the same way joins the next ring.
All this design connects the two axles with the outer ring, and the design is almost ready.
The master now proceeds to the manufacture of the counterweight. In the end trim handle of a spade, he drilled a blind hole with a diameter of 14 mm and screw-in steel pin M16.

The second end of the telescopic tube is inserted into the Central hole of the Steadicam.
On the other hand is glued to the smartphone holder.
It remains to fix the phone in the holder, disclose the entire length of the telescopic tube with a counterweight, to take the Steadicam for the handle, and start taking pictures.
When there is insufficient weight of the counterweight (in case You have hefty and heavy smartphone or tablet), it can be heavier, or use a long telescopic tube.
