Onion is a product without which it is impossible to prepare practically any food (except for sweet desserts, of course). This vegetable is a must and an indispensable ingredient in soups and sauces, meat, mushroom, vegetable and fish dishes. It is also added to marinades and some types of baking (especially when making filling for pies).
With no time to fuss with cleaning and chopping fresh vegetables in some cases, you can apply and onion powder.
It is especially convenient to use when cooking for children. Because most small consumers did not want to “make friends” with natural vegetable, choosing it at ease and pushing aside. And powder of onion, added in baby food, will hardly be noticeable.
To make the spice from fresh onion, which first must be finely chopped, then dried and milled. Many Housewives to expedite the process, use such devices, as aerogrill, oven or dehydrator. How to make onion powder at home:

If the powder break into lumps, take a sieve and triturated it with a dry spoon or wooden pestle. Then give even a little dry.
Pour ready-to-use powder of onion in dry container (ideal container plastic or glass jar). There also throw a cube of sugar (it will absorb moisture that may remain in the powder or accidentally gets later, say, with a spoon) and close the airtight lid.
