If you need a quality kitchen knife that is equally well cope with the cutting of vegetables, fish and meat, it can be done by hand from the saw blade.
Before you begin, you need to decide the future shape of the knife. Draw the sketch of the knife on the paper, then cut out the template and transfer it to a circular saw blade (can be cut around the marker, or simply stick).

Then using the grinder cut the workpiece. Treated her slipstone (you can make yourself), then do the slopes of the blade.

In the next step, the author performs two standard procedures: the quenching and tempering. Sanding and (optionally) polished billet.
