American kriptosistema company Paradigm has provided a grant to the Australian Bitcoin Core developer Anthony Townes.
In comments to The Block Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang said the grant reflects the company’s opinion that bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency, and Paradigm is responsible for its support and development.
Earlier developers of the Bitcoin Core supported such company Square Crypto, OKCoin and BitMEX. Huang declined to say how much the Paradigm has allocated to the Towns. According to him, the grant will be paid at equivalent to full salary of the developer.
Townes is involved in the development of bitcoin in 2017. He is working on an update of bitcoin is called Schnorr-Taproot.
“Paradigm will pay salary but he will have complete freedom of choice as to what is he working on bitcoin,” said Huang.
