Trump has imposed sanctions against China

The President of the United States Donald trump signed a law imposing sanctions against China because of the adoption of the law on ensuring state security in Hong Kong is a special administrative region of the PRC. It is reported by the White house.

The document provides for sanctions against companies and people involved in the adoption of the law on state security, which expands the powers of the Chinese intelligence in Hong Kong.

Trump said at a press conference that he had signed a law to bring China to justice for his “aggressive actions against the people of Hong Kong.” According to him, this law gives the White house a “new powerful tools to prosecute individuals and organizations involved in the destruction of freedoms in Hong Kong”.

Trump also signed the Executive decree on the abolition of economic and trade preferences to the US for Hong Kong. “Now to Hong Kong will be the same as they do to mainland China: no special privileges, no special economic relations, and also any exports of sensitive technology,” said trump.

The Chinese foreign Ministry announced that it would impose retaliatory sanctions against people and companies from the United States of trump to impose sanctions against China. The Ministry said that the US is trying to interfere in the internal Affairs of China.
