Laptops and other portable computing took its place in our lives, and use it even in the workshop, because the laptop is easy to create projects, perform calculations, and more.
In this article Dekay, the author of the YouTube channel “김팀장 크래프트Dekay”s Crafts”, will tell You how he made a special swivel stand for laptop, which can be installed anywhere in the workshop, and comfortable working with a laptop.
This project is very simple to manufacture and does not require welding or lathe work.

The process of making.
The author kindly provided drawings and dimensions of all parts.
The basic material for the stand will serve as a conventional sheet of plywood 16 mm thick.
Because you need to make a few pairs of parts, the author cut a few rectangular pieces of plywood, and connects them to each other using double-sided tape. On the upper surface of the stick cut the printed elements of the template.
The workpiece is fixed to the workbench with clamps, in several places the holes are drilled for the entrance полотна1, and parts are cut electric jigsaw.
Bumps on the edges remaining after cutting, are removed on a belt grinder.
According to the markup drilled 12 mm holes for the mounting bolts M12. After that two pairs of pieces for the hinges disconnected.
Then on the miter saw cut two triangular blanks for backups.
The front edge of the support platform is preferably round. The author of the rough cuts corners a miter saw, and polishing them.
Then a platform is attached to the stand and additionally being targeted carnations with the help of nailer.
Further, with the lower part of the platform glued the two supports which are fixed with nails.
An important element of the whole structure will serve as that such furniture bearing. Its dimensions are 95X95 mm and a thickness of about 8 mm. It will provide the opportunity to deploy the stand.
For the quick clamping platform, the author had used glue near the ears, and pressed the bearing to the platform.
Drilling a pilot hole, the bearing housing is screwed to the platform with screws. It is important to consider the length of the screws to pass them through the platform.
Now the author puts across one of the holes in the eyelet markings on the platform, and drill a hole in it.

Stick to it and fixed studs and two parts for the eyes.
Now this design can be fixed on the bearing housing in the same second adhesive.
Strut clamped in a vise upside down. Then it becomes clear the purpose of the holes through it, the author screws missing screws.
The lugs on the turntable join the two parts of the hinge with a long M12 bolt, washers and nut.
Between the joints is glued a small rectangular inset, and fixed neylerem.
Then, the master cut two triangular blanks eyelets that are attached to the lower part of the holder of the laptop.
The entire hinge mechanism finally going.
It remains to glue and fasten the eyelets to the bottom of the platform.
And here’s how it unfolds.
Hinge mechanism has three degrees of freedom — height adjustment, tilt and rotation.
To the laptop from slipping off the table, at the front the author attached a simple bar where you pre-cut corners.
Even on one plate, one end is cut at an angle of 45 degrees. It will be a kind keyhole fastening to similar strips mounted on the wall or workbench.
A couple of these straps is fixed on the rear side of the rack.
The excess bolt is cut with a grinder and the nuts are replaced on the wing.
All the wooden product surface processed oil, wax or varnish, and the friction elements to lubricate the usual paraffin or soap.
So you can install the stand on a workbench, freeing workspace on the table.
Now the laptop can “twist” almost anything you like.
Similarly, this stand is hung on the side of a small bench.
