Greetings to all lovers of craftsmanship, I suggest for consideration the instructions for making a very effective heating stove from a gas cylinder. Homemade is somewhat reminiscent of Buleryan, there are pipes that provide excellent air convection. The stove can heat up perfectly garage or a workshop with a small expenditure of firewood. If you are interested in the homemade product, I suggest you study it in more detail!
List of materials:
– 50 l propane cylinder;
– profile pipes;
– grate fittings;
– some sheet steel;
– door hinges;
– round pipe for nozzles;
– bolts, nuts, etc.
List of tools :
– heat-resistant paint;
– grinder (angle grinder);
– welding machine;
– marker, tape measure, ruler, etc.
Process of making homemade products:
Step one. Preparing the balloon and cutting out the door
Before starting work, turn out the tap and fill the bottle up to the neck with water. Next, it is recommended to start cutting the bottle with water inside, so that a volumetric explosion will not occur. But the author simply drained the water and his balloon did not explode, but who knows, maybe he was already dry inside for a long time.
We cut off the time of the cylinder and draw a circle, then make a cut with a grinder and weld on a strong door hinge. At the end, it will remain to finally cut off the bottom and now the door can be opened.
Step two. Locking device
We make a locking device so that the oven door does not accidentally open, which can lead to a fire. The author made a device out of a wrench by simply drilling a hole in it. For an additional weight, the author welded a nut to the key.
Step three. Setting the blower
We equip the stove with an adjustable blower so that the intensity of combustion can be adjusted. We take a piece of pipe and install a damper in it, like in a car's carburetor. Cut a hole in the door and weld the blower into place.
That's it, a few final touches and the door is completely ready.
Step four. Flue pipe
We make a smoke pipe, it also has a damper, it will allow you to close the stove so that air does not escape from the room through it. You can also slightly adjust the draft with a damper and adjust the optimal combustion of the furnace.
As for the neck of the cylinder, its author cut off and welded the hole with a steel plate.
Step five. Cleaning and emphasis under the grates
We clean the entire cylinder with a grinder with a wire brush. If the paint does not want to peel off, you can use special washes or simply ignite the balloon.
Inside the furnace, the author welded an emphasis, the grates from the reinforcement will be laid on it.
Step six. Manufacturing and installation of convection pipes
We make convection pipes, air will circulate through them, thereby warming up well. Also, such pipes will reduce the temperature of the furnace body, which will increase its service life.
To bend the pipes, the author simply makes rows of cuts with a thick cutting disc.
After that, the pipe can be folded like an accordion. Having formed the desired bend, we weld the cuts and weld the pipes to the furnace body. Of course, bare metal remains under the pipes, if the pipes adjoin with gaps, then the cylinder under the pipes will rust from the action of oxygen.
In the lower part, the pipes are welded together with two pipes, this will be the base on which the stove can stand securely on the floor.
Step seven. Painting and testing
The author painted over the furnace body with heat-resistant black paint. As for the pipes, heat-resistant silver was used here, but this is a matter of everyone's taste, you can simply paint everything black.
The stove is ready, you can test it, we install the grate from the fittings inside and you can set it on fire. The stove draft is excellent and it is perfectly adjustable. To demonstrate the operation of convection pipes, the author held a smoking chip to the bottom. The smoke is quite briskly sucked into the pipe and comes out from its upper part.
This completes the project, I hope you liked the homemade product and found useful thoughts for yourself. Good luck and creative inspiration if you decide to do this again. Don't forget to share your ideas and homemade products with us!
