The process of making homemade products:
Step one. Modification of the gearbox
We disassemble the unnecessary grinder and take out the anchor. You need to disassemble the anchor if necessary and cut off a piece of the axis. Next, you need to dock this axis with the axis of the motor. To solve the problem, the author on a lathe bore a hole in the axis for the motor axis.
We also drill a hole for the pin, it will cling to the motor axis plug.
In the end, the modified reducer can be assembled.
Step two. We attach the gearbox to the motor
The axles are ready for docking, it remains to screw the gearbox to the motor. The author screwed a steel plate to the motor, and already the grinder gearbox is screwed to this plate with the help of screws and nuts. As a result, we get an excellent powerful 12V gear motor, albeit with low output speeds.
We connect the wires and try to turn on the motor, the shaft rotates, everything is fine.
Step three. Drive wheel
We take the wheel from the cart and grind a nut under the hole. The shaft of the grinder will be screwed into this nut, as a result, we get a ready drive axle.
The second rear wheel is driven, it rotates on bearings, the author has carved a corresponding axle for it.
Step four. Frame Assembly
We weld a simple frame made of shaped pipes and weld the bracket to the motor. After installing the rear wheels, we install the steering. The steering wheel together with the wheel can be taken from a ready-made children's scooter.
When the frame is ready, you can paint it.
Step five. Battery and testing
The author wanted to use two batteries from screwdrivers as a power source, but they turned out to be discharged and the scooter did not ride on them. To increase the capacity, the author soldered the batteries in parallel.
The author perfectly tested homemade products on a car battery.
As the bottom we fasten a sheet of plywood, well, the motor is controlled using a button on which you can press with your foot. The homemade product does not drive fast and stops quite quickly when the power is turned off, so the brakes are not needed here. Well, the child is happy, the scooter, though not fast, is already powered by electricity.
