Surely many of you have Bulgarian , and you know that making a straight cut without additional devices is not very easy.
In this article, Eugene, the author of the YouTube channel “Home Workshop”, will tell you how he made an unusual an adaptation for solving these problems.
Such a device is quite simple to make in a small workshop or garage .
Materials necessary for homemade products.
– Sheet chipboard, pine timber 100 × 50 mm
– Steel stud M8, wing nuts
– Bearings
– Two-component epoxy adhesive.

Manufacturing process.
So, the basis for the carriage will serve as a sheet chipboard 16 mm thick. First of all, the master removes the disc and the protective cover from the grinder. The tool is laid out on a chipboard sheet and the full length of the body is measured.
Having marked the desired carriage width, the author cuts the blank for the base from the sheet with an electric jigsaw. To cut a long strip across, he placed a wooden block under it, providing a free path for the canvas.
The protective casing will serve as a kind of template, because it is for it that you need to make a cutout on the edge of the base. Aligning the casing in the middle, the author marks its outlines.
The marked semicircle is cut out with a jigsaw.
The casing is installed in its place, and by attaching the grinder to the base, the place for its attachment is marked. This should be done in a relatively flat part of the body.
As the holder will be a pine bar 100 × 50 mm, or trimming a thick board.
The author has a circular saw at his disposal, and he aligns one edge of the bar on it. It will connect to the base. If necessary, this operation can be performed with a regular plane.
Next, a block of the required length (150 mm) is cut on a miter saw.
The middle line is marked on the bar.
Now a bar is dissolved into two parts with a band saw.
Putting both details, the master marks on them a cutout for the grinder body. For this, a spray paint cap came up. Excess material is still cut off on the band saw.
First part the holder is tried on to the base together with the grinder, and the most stable position of the body is selected. In this case, it is extremely important that the cutting disc is in the same plane with the base. Having chosen the position of the reference block, you need to mark its outlines.
A pair of holes is drilled in the base for mounting screws. When drilling on a workbench, you need to use a pad.
The part is pressed to the base with a clamp, turned over, and screwed on with a pair of long self-tapping screws.
Now the second part of the holder is pressed against the structure, and holes for M8 studs are drilled in both parts.
The blind holes in the lower block are filled with two-component epoxy glue, and two M8 studs are glued into them. < br> 
After the glue has polymerized, you can put on the counterpart of the clamp and tighten the nuts.
Instead of such a holder, especially if you do not have tools for its manufacture, you can use clamps for water pipes. By placing two clamps at some distance, it will be possible to adjust the angle of inclination of the disc in two planes at once.
Holes for installing rollers are marked and prepared on two opposite edges of the base.
Plastic wheels are screwed on screws to the base. Instead of wheels in this case, it is better to use ordinary bearings.
So, the carriage is ready. Now you can install the grinder, and fix it with a clamp.
Check the inclination of the disc, it should be in the same plane with the base of the carriage and the table top. Of course, the surface of the latter must be flat.
This device will work as follows. The workpiece in the form of a steel sheet is fixed in a carpentry vice.
Moving the carriage with a grinder along it, you can make a straight cut quite simply and quickly.
And here is the result – the cut edge turned out to be quite even.
Of course, this is not the only way to use such a carriage.
