DIY plywood fake fireplace
Materials:
* 6 pieces of plywood 120×20 cm, 18 mm thick;
* two pine boards measuring 100×22 cm;
* 1 piece of plywood measuring 106×25 cm (for some reason the author did not specify the thickness);
* piece of plywood for internal insert 9 mm thick and 80×80 cm in size.
Tools:
* table saw;
* screwdriver;
* set of screwdriver bits;
* jig for drilling holes at an angle;
* hand-held router;
* self-tapping screws for wood;
* glue on wood;
* drywall anchor;
* primer;
* white acrylic paint;
* dark gray paint.
Step 1.
At this point, the author has cut six pieces of plywood. From them, he cut out parts for two racks, three long and three short, on a circular saw. And from the pine boards they drank two crossbeams. Then the author folded the parts on the workbench without fixing them to check for distortions.

Step 2 .
At this stage, the author has rounded off the edges of the crossbars with a hand mill. Then I chose three grooves in the racks. It is not necessary to do this, the author performed this procedure for beauty.
Step 3.
Now when all the details are ready, you need to drill holes in them under the screws. For this, the author uses a special device .
Step 4.
Having finished drilling the holes, the author proceeded to assemble the false fireplace. The author connected the details with glue and self-tapping screws. Glue was pre-applied to each face of the rack parts. I distributed it evenly, then I assembled the boxes and fixed the parts with self-tapping screws. Additionally, during the assembly, the author used clamps.
Step 5.
At this stage the author completed the painting. Pre-primed all surfaces. When the primer was dry, after 3 hours I sanded the surfaces and applied two coats of white paint with intermediate drying.
Step 6 .
The assembled and painted false fireplace was installed by the author in the place where it should stand. I forgot to mention that the author fixed a small bar under the lower crossbar. It serves as an additional attachment point to the wall. Having placed a false fireplace against the wall, the author made the markings for the anchors. Then he removed the fireplace, installed an anchor on the wall, then put the fireplace back in and secured it.
When everything was ready, he laid out things on the fireplace and hung over it, the same mirror bought at IKEA. That's all. Below is the video promised.
