All about Zubkov: the IOC wants to remove Russia from 2020 Olympics

The Moscow city court invalidated the decision of the court of arbitration for Sport against Alexander Zubkov. In response, the IOC has threatened a complete suspension of Russia from the Olympic games 2020 in Tokyo.

The information was confirmed by the Olympic Committee of Russia, informs LIGAnews. In response, the IOC sent a letter to ROC requesting it to comply with all decisions of the court of arbitration for Sport.

Otherwise, Russia threatened sanctions against individual athletes, and perhaps even the complete exclusion of the country of the participants of the Olympiad to be held in 2020 in Tokyo. Representatives of the ROC has already filed an appeal in the Moscow city court.

In Moscow city court stated that the court of arbitration for Sport did not provide evidence of guilt Zubkov.

In November 2017, Zubkov was convicted of violating anti-doping rules. The IOC took away his two gold medals and the title of champion, but also disqualified for life of the athlete. After a time, a lifetime ban was lifted.
