Information declassified

The Department of energy reports that the enriched plutonium that can be used in weapons, had been secretly sent from South Carolina to Nevada.

Plutonium covertly transported to a nuclear test site in Nevada a few months ago, despite the protests of the state government. The Ministry of justice notified a Federal judge in Reno that the government sent radioactive material for storage in located 70 miles North of Las Vegas place before the Nevada asked the court to block the transport.

Previously classified information about the dispatch from South Carolina may be disclosed now because enough time has passed to keep the protection of national security.

Democrat Senator Jackie Rosen called the move “deceitful and unethical”, and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, also a Democrat from Nevada, said that he will ask Department officials to explain how they took such an “unscrupulous and reckless decision.”
