The new rules announced by the Department of homeland security (DHS) on Wednesday, will take effect from 1 April. They can potentially reduce the possibility of obtaining work visas for educated foreign workers. Doug Rand, the independent expert on immigration, said that now all applicants will first be included in one pool, from which are selected only 65 thousand, from them generates a separate list of educated professionals from which beneficiaries will choose randomly.
The rules are introduced to ensure that Americans are educated are more likely to get a high-paying job for professionals. As applicants much more than visas, H1-B, the government will conduct a lottery for the selection of candidates.
