In the Federation Council commented on the extension of the sanctions list in respect of individuals and legal entities in Ukraine.
Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs, said that the sanctions were extended in connection with the policy pursued by Kiev, reports RT.
In the Federation Council said that the Kyiv daily generates new conflicts. However, they are only Russophobic in nature. The Ukrainian government is doing everything possible to aggravate relations with Russia. Therefore, in the light of all these events it is necessary to strengthen and expand sanctions against those individuals who seek to further damage relations between Kiev and Moscow, said Tsekov.
Sanctions will be directed against the so-called Ukrainian “elite”, although it is difficult to call them, said in the Federation Council.
Tsekov again noticed that sanctions are not against the Ukrainian people, and specific individuals and companies that undermine Russia.
