In Dublin, there was held the draw for the qualifying tournament of Euro-2020

2 Dec in Dublin was held the draw for the qualifying tournament of Euro-2020. Rivals of the Russian team will be the teams of Belgium, Scotland and Cyprus. French players have to fight with teams from Iceland, Turkey and Albania.

Total number of groups is ten. Top two teams in each group qualify for the finals and the remaining four places in March 2020, will play the group winners of the League of Nations.

Euro 2020 will be a special championship as it will not be the host country. The matches of the final stage of the tournament will be held at 12 stadiums 12 cities 12 national associations of UEFA. Among the “host cities” — London, Rome, Munich, Bilbao, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Baku, Glasgow, Dublin, Budapest and St. Petersburg.

It is planned that in the arena on Krestovsky will host three group matches and one quarterfinal. It was reported that the State Duma adopted the bill on visa-free entry to Russia for fans of Euro-2020. It was also suggested to give the fans the right to free travel on public transport within the city and Leningrad region.
