The lawsuit against trump

A coalition of 16 States, including California and new York, has filed a lawsuit against Donald trump about his plan to use state of emergency to obtain billions of dollars on its border “wall” on the Mexican border.

The lawsuit is part of a constitutional confrontation that trump provoked when he said that it will spend on border barriers on billions of dollars more than was granted to him by the Congress. The clash raises questions about cost control in Congress, the status of the emergency and the powers granted to the President. And how far the courts are willing to go to resolve such dispute.

In a lawsuit filed in Federal district court in San Francisco alleges that the President has no authority to spend funds for the construction of the “wall” along the Mexican border, because Congress controls the costs.
