Gone from the life of legendary film critic and philosopher Valentin Tolstykh

Member of the Union of cinematographers of Russia, philosopher, film critic Valentin Tolstykh has died at 90-m to year of life.

As reports the edition “TASS“, Valentin Tolstykh departed this life February 23, reports LigaNews.

Farewell to Valentin Tolstykh scheduled for March 1. It will begin at 11:30 in the conference hall of the Union of cinematographers of Russia.

“90-year life before they reach the anniversary of five days, died, Valentin Ivanovich Tolstykh, the oldest member of the Union of cinematographers of Russia. Valentin Ivanovich possessed great personal charm, was a powerful social temperament, was a Board member of the Union”, – reported in the Union of cinematographers.

Valentin Tolstykh was awarded the State prize of the USSR, the author of many publications and books on questions of Soviet morality and aesthetics.

In 1990-e years he led the section of young film critics was the leading creative workshops for young filmmakers.

As previously reported LigaNews, the most iconic model of the 90s Pantushenkova died of cancer. It is also known that he died a famous two-time winner of the Cannes film festival Claude Goretta.
