Attachment for LShM

Good day. I bring to your attention my version of making a fairly simple attachment for LSHM.
Attachment for LShM The idea was as follows :
– To make a prefix that increases the usability of your LSHM.
– To use standard products from the nearest hardware store with their minimal revision and materials at hand.
– To be able, if necessary, to add additional elements (stops, guides, etc.) without unnecessary labor costs.
In this design was used:
– Cutting a tabletop 38mm thick.
– Standard galvanized metal corners.
– Plywood scraps 6mm thick.
– Fasteners: M4, M5, M6.
– Linoleum scraps.
– Plastic scraps.
– Polypropylene coupling d32mm.
– Polypropylene corner elbow 87 degrees d32mm.
– Quick-drying varnish ХВ-784.
From tools used:
– USHM
– MFI “Dremel”. < br> – Drill on a stand.
– Circular saw.
– Milling cutter.
– Building hair dryer.
– Screwdriver, wrench.
– Files.
– Clamps, vice.
To work with wooden blanks, I often need the ability to use LSHM in a position fixed on a workbench. So that every time not to mess with clamps, etc., I decided to make a simple attachment for LSM “Hammer LSM 800”.
To remove sawdust using a homemade Cyclone” , an adapter was made from a standard polypropylene joint for pipes d32mm from a rectangular to a round hole. The desired shape was achieved by heating the sleeve with a construction hairdryer and molding it with pliers. The adapter is securely attached to the LShM using electrical tape and nylon ties. I use tubes with the specified diameter with almost all my power tools, where there is a possibility of sucking sawdust.

The base of the attachment with dimensions 370x240x38mm was cut with a circular saw from the trim of the table top. The rest of the parts are made of standard fasteners that were in stock and purchased at a construction store.
Attachment for LShM The main principle of choosing mounting angles there was a complete coincidence of the perforation holes when they were mirrored. Thus, the entire layout of the structure is based on the maximum use of the finished holes of the metal parts.
Attachment for LShM A recess with a depth of 16mm is made in the bed with the help of a milling cutter. The inner surface of the recess is treated with XB-784 black varnish. The ends of the bed are impregnated with transparent varnish XB-784.
 Attachment for LShM Holders of the LShM rear handle are cut out with a grinder from standard corners 100x100x100x2mm. To allow precise adjustment of the handle pressure, the four holes of the left holder were slightly recessed using the Dremel MFI.
Prefix for LSHM Attachment for LSHM The holders of the front handle LSHM are made from standard corners 60x60x60x2mm.
Attachment for LShM Vertical stop holders are made of standard corners 160x160x60x2mm.
Attachment for LSHM Two gaskets were made from the cut corners for the corners of the LShM rear handle holders.
 Prefix for LShM A kind of pressure rollers were made from plastic pipes, electrical tape and scraps of rubber hoses. A gasket has been cut out of soft plastic, which compensates for the residual thickness of the lock button of the LSM switch.
Attachment for LShM Attachment for LSHM From scraps of linoleum, gaskets were cut out for the upper part of the LShM body, which smooth out a small protrusion in the area where its parts are connected. < br> Attachment for LShM  Prefix for LShM Prefix for LSHM Attachment for LSHM  Prefix for LShM The metal holders are fixed on the bed with the help of 4,2x35mm screws. In the future, in case of loosening of the fasteners, it is planned to replace the screws with screws (while everything is holding tight enough).

Attachment for LShM From scraps of a wooden profile and plywood, there are stops for holders of the vertical stop of the workpiece.
 Attachment for LShM Since this model of LShM does not have the ability to fix the switch in the “on” state, a separate pressure roller is used to fix it. When installing the LShM into the attachment, the switch blocking button is fixed in the pressed state, resting against the left holder of the rear handle.

 Attachment for LShM  Attachment for LShM Fixing the switch in the “on” state. In the future, the LShM is turned on using an extension cord with a switch. In which “Cyclone” is also connected, which ensures their synchronous activation.
Attachment for LSHM Prefix for LSHM Thus, the LShM is securely fixed on the frame of this attachment. In this embodiment, the design is used without installing a stop.
Attachment for LSHM  Prefix for LShM Prefix for LSHM Attachment for LSHM The vertical stop is made of standard corners 200x40x40x2mm, wooden profile 190x40x30mm. The support platform is made of plywood with dimensions of 275x110x6mm.
Attachment for LShM  Prefix for LSHM Attachment for LShM Additional horizontal emphasis is made of aluminum corner with dimensions 114x40x40x2mm. The adjusting rod is made of a metal stud with an M6 thread, corners 40x20x4mm and other fasteners with an M6 thread. Due to the use of corners with a thickness of 4 mm, there is no spring-loaded effect of the vertical stop. The use of wing nuts makes setting the desired angle of inclination quick and convenient. The ends of the bed were covered with plastic 2mm thick.
Attachment for LSHM  Prefix for LSHM Prefix for LShM It was originally planned to install two symmetrical adjusting rods. But as practice has shown, thanks to the stiffness of the vertical stop structure, the second thrust was not required.
Attachment for LShM  Prefix for LShM Attachment for LShM  Prefix for LSHM Prefix for LSHM On the bed are glued fairly wide rubber feet, cut from rubber sheet with a thickness of 2 mm. Due to the decent weight of the entire device, in most cases additional fixation on the table is not required.
Attachment for LShM Because while I only need to work with two angles of 90 and 135 degrees, I use a plastic template. The adjustment design allows you to adjust the desired angle with great precision. Therefore, in the future, it is planned to install a protractor on the attachment (I look after it in stationery).
Attachment for LShM Prefix for LSHM The presence of two stops fixing the workpiece in two planes allows you to achieve sufficient accuracy when processing it without problems.

And this requires the removal of the support platform from the vertical stop (if installed). Because I rarely need it, it doesn't cause any particular inconvenience.
Attachment for LShM Due to the use of standard mounting angles with ready-made perforations, there is the possibility of further refinement of the attachment (as required) without additional drilling. There are ideas for moving the tilt axes of the vertical stop, installing additional stops, etc. All wooden parts of the attachment are treated with XB-784 quick-drying varnish. In the manufacture of this device, the location of the ventilation holes of the LShM was taken into account.
