Namely, the tool thanks to which it will be possible to bend any non-thick metal strips, square metal rods or ordinary metal reinforcement. This homemade product is a relatively simple design and is assembled from simple materials at hand, so everyone can assemble it. And such a thing, for sure, will come in handy in the household of every amateur, to make something of metal. A feature of this homemade product is that it will bend the materials at an angle that has a fairly large radius. Well, well, I think you shouldn't delay with a long preface, let's go.
For this “bender” of metal reinforcement we need the following, namely:
– Metal corners
– Metal pipe
– Metal strips
– Screws
– Metal rollers of different sizes < br> – Bolts
– Nuts
– A small piece of thick sheet metal
From the tools we also need the following:
– Welding machine
– All the necessary accessories for the job with welding machine
– Hammer
– Center punch
– Wrenches
– Tap (for cutting internal threads)
– Grinder
– Cutting and grinding discs for grinder
– Ruler
– Hexagons
– Marker
– Building corner
– Drilling machine or ordinary drill
– A set of drills of the required diameter and countersink
– Some kind of lubricating oil
– Scotch tape
Making a “bending device” for metal reinforcement:
We will start making this homemade product with the lever part of the structure. First, we need to find a metal corner, from which it is worth cutting off two segments of exactly the same size. Later it will be clear what size you will need to select a metal corner.
 Manual Next, we need to find the lever itself, holding on to which we will bend the necessary blanks. As such a lever, the author of the homemade product used an ordinary metal pipe. You choose the length of this pipe yourself. Its length only affects how much force you have to apply when bending any products. The longer this pipe is, the easier it will be for you to bend something with this tool, and accordingly, the shorter, the more difficult.

Namely, you should take two corners and connect them in such a way that a “square pipe” is formed from the two corners, and inside the resulting pipes with a square cross section, insert the previously taken round metal pipe. That is, the diameter of this pipe and the width of the corners must correspond to each other, and the pipe inside must sit tightly, and you will find out why this is needed a little later.
Manual Manual Having welded the above elements together, the welded seams themselves must be sanded with a grinder and a special grinding disc, so that the effect of a single monolithic part is obtained. In this case, we need this not only for aesthetic reasons, but also so that the metal strips screwed in the future fall on this part tightly and evenly parallel to each other.

These strips will be heavily loaded, so I recommend using thick metal strips, otherwise in the future, when working with this tool, there will be a high probability of bending this part. Having picked up the strips, in them, we need to drill two through fastening holes. The holes should be mirrored without any deviation. To do this, fasten the strips together with tape, and then drill holes.
Manual Manual Manual Then a couple more through holes need to be drilled in the square part of our first workpiece. And these holes should be the same diameter as the two previous holes and be located at the same distance from each other. To do this, apply metal strips to the square part of the first workpiece as shown below, and use a marker to leave points. Further, for a clear initial setting of the drill, use a special center punch and a hammer, with which it is worth leaving the notches. This way you will definitely not miss and drill holes where you need it.

And cross out all holes in all elements on both sides. Then we take two identical screws or bolts. The length of these bolts should be greater than the thickness of the metal strips and the square of the handle. We insert a couple of bolts into one of the metal strips, then we insert these bolts with a strip into the square part of the pipe as shown below.

The width of this roller should not exceed the width of the square part of our pipe. If you could not find a roller suitable for the width or if you want to use the roller that you already have and do not want to purchase another one. Then you need, initially, to assemble this lever part under the roller you have. If everything is fine and the dimensions are what you need, we continue the assembly.
Manual Manual For the roller you choose, you need to screw in the shaft on which it will rotate. To do this, install the roller in its place (see photo) and use a marker to place a mark for drilling a through hole. Then, again using adhesive tape, we connect the two strips together, and drill a through hole in these two strips. When drilling thick metals, I recommend using a lubricant (fabulous oil) to reduce friction and to reduce the likelihood of accidental overheating of the drill

Namely, insert two bolts/screws of the required length into one of the strips, then put on the pipe, insert another bolt into the hole for the roller, put the roller on this bolt and cover all this economy with the remaining metal strip. Well, and tighten the nuts, here it is worth noting the fact that in order for the roller to rotate quietly, you should not tighten the nut on the bolt, which is its axis of rotation.

For this very part, we need to get a small piece of thick sheet metal, about the same size as in the photo below.
Manual From this rectangle, we need to cut off the corners, thereby rounding them. This is necessary so that the lever part simply does not just rest against them. To do this, first mark the places that need to be cut, then carefully cut them off with a grinder.

Namely, the hole for the second roller, a couple of holes for the corner (the corner for which the structure will be fastened in a vice), as well as a couple of holes for the guide. Which the author cut out from the corner in which he cut the groove. We drill all the necessary holes, countersink them, cut the threads, and put all the elements together.

We do it in the same way as with the first video. It is worth paying your attention to the fact that the radius of the corners of the objects you bent depends on the diameter of the second roller.
