In this article, we will take a closer look at the manufacture of such a useful homemade product as a “clamp-clamp”. This homemade product can serve as both a vice and a clamp. Its most important feature will be that it can tilt at different angles. This function can be useful when it is necessary, for example, to drill a hole at an angle, or to saw off something at an angle. Sometimes there is not enough such a tool and you have to screw something, put something on, etc. This homemade product can definitely make your job easier. Also, do not forget the fact that the home-made product will be assembled from the simplest components possible, so everyone can afford to assemble this home-made product. Well, well, I think you shouldn't delay with a long preface, let's go.
For this clamp we need the following, namely:
– Square metal profile pipe
– Long bolt or metal hairpin
– Long nut for this bolt
– Simple bolts
– Nuts
– Metal strips from thick metal
From the tools we also need the following:
– Marker
– Building corner
– Drilling machine or conventional drill
– A set of drills of the required diameter
– Some kind of lubricating oil
– Hammer
– Center punch
– Tap with a wrench
– Bulgarian
– Cutting and grinding discs for grinder
– Ruler
– Welding machine
– All the necessary accessories for working with the welding machine
– Wrenches
Making a clamp with an adjustable angle of inclination:
Making this homemade product we will start with the frame. For the manufacture of the frame, we will use a square metal tube. The width of the pipe is not particularly important to us, since after all, the load on this homemade product will be relatively small, a 20mm pipe will be enough. The author of the homemade product used what was at hand.

After that, two through holes should be drilled in these segments. These holes will serve as fixing improvised loops. That is, one pair of holes should be located at the very edge, this is where the second part of the frame will be attached. But the second pair of holes should be located next to the first, but closer to the center. Mark with a marker the place for drilling holes.
After the places for drilling holes were marked on the pipes in the indicated places, it is necessary to do the following, namely, take a hammer and a center punch, with which we, in turn, knock out small holes. We only need these holes for a convenient initial setting of the drill, so you drill the hole exactly where it is needed. And then, using an ordinary hand drill or a special drilling machine, we drill through holes. When drilling metals, I recommend periodically lubricating the drill with any lubricating oil.
Further, from the same metal square pipe, we will need to cut a couple of segments, but only shorter. These segments will be the crossbars of our frame, that is, they will connect two of our previously cut segments. We mark the sections of the required length on the pipe, and carefully cut the sections with the help of the grinder.
Then all our blanks must be welded together into one rectangular blank. To do this, we put them on the table, align all the parts, and thoroughly boil all the places by connecting the blanks. After all the joints have been welded, it is advisable to take a grinder with grinding discs and carefully grind all the resulting welds. As a result, we got one half of the frame, now we need to make the second. We make the second part of the frame identical to the first, that is, we repeat all your actions described again.

With the help of these holes we will fix the mating part of the clamp. We put the marks with a marker, punch out the holes with a punch and a hammer and lubricate the drill with oil and drill the holes.
Then again from the same pipe we cut off the next segment. The length of this segment should be equal to the width of our frame. Having cut out a segment of the required length, in it we should duplicate the mounting holes from the frame. That is, the holes on the segment should be located in the same places as the holes on the frame. Mark and drill just like all previous holes.
Having drilled the mounting holes in the newly cut metal section, we connect this very section to the frame using a couple of bolts and nuts. First, we push the bolts through the holes in the frame, then we put a piece of metal pipe on these bolts, from the inside of the pipe we screw the nuts onto the bolts, and finally we tighten the nuts as tight as possible with the wrenches.

To do this, we need to cut off two small pieces from a metal strip made of relatively thick metal. To determine the length of the required cuts, you need to do the following, namely, take the two halves of the frame on top of each other and measure the distance between the holes specially drilled for this, and accordingly the strips should be slightly longer than this distance.
Having cut out the metal strips of the required length, two through holes should be made in them. The holes should be at the same distance from each other as the side holes on the frame. We drill holes in the right places and fasten the two frames together using these same metal strips with holes. To do this, insert bolts from the inside of the frames and put strips on them, then tighten the nuts, preferably through metal washers

To do this, cut off two more segments from the same metal strip, but only longer ones (see photo). From one edge of these blanks, as in the case of the first strips, we drill one through hole, and in place of the second hole we make a long groove along the entire length of the blank. The groove should be cut with a grinder with a cutting disc.

To do this, we push the bolts through these strips, then through the frame and fix them with nuts. As a result, we should get the following, namely, the upper part of the frame should move freely up and down, in cases of need to fix the upper part at the desired angle, we will be by tightening the nuts inside the long groove.

This rectangle will be a support for the nut, in which the pressure bolt will rotate. Then we will fix this rectangle on the back of the counterpart of the clamp on the frame itself (see photo). To do this, we will drill counter holes on the frame, and using bolts and nuts, fix this rectangle on the frame.
'Clamp vise' with an adjustable angle of inclination with your own hands Next, we need a long bolt or stud, on one of the sides of which we will drill a through hole, insert the bolt into this hole at a smaller one and thus we will make a handle for convenient rotation of the main bolt.

Then we push in the end of the bolt, and fasten it on both sides with nuts, leaving a gap for the bolt to rotate freely. But before that, you need to screw a long nut onto the bolt. And at the end we weld the bolt to a special platform, or rather a long nut screwed onto this bolt
