So I will start from what we have !
- PET bottles of 0.33
- stationery knife
- building hair dryer (thermal gun )
- a piece of wire
- cotton swabs
- white insulating tape for inscriptions
This is my very convenient machine, the cutting depth is 45 mm and the table top rotates at an angle of 45 degrees .
The reason for inventing such a chip control is the same as in “ vacuum cleaner for an electric planer from PET bottles “, when sawing chipboard, fiberboard, plywood, laminate and ordinary boards, there was a lot of dust, and in order not to bother cleaning the” dust dunes “after work, I decided to repeat the idea .
I bought five bottles of juice with a volume of 0.33 liters. He emptied them and washed them with water.
The inside diameter of the hose on the vacuum cleaner is almost the same as the inside diameter of the chip removal on the machine. The vacuum cleaner is problematic to connect, and during operation, the hose is constantly bumped and jumps out.
If you constantly push the hose tube into the machine's chip evacuator, then over time, a crack may appear on it, since the hose tube will press from the inside, and with constant touching of the hose, the more will be the load, which will provoke a crack.
What is the plus to have such a vacuum cleaner, it is synchronized with a power tool (you can connect a power tool with a capacity of up to two kilowatts through a vacuum cleaner), turn on the machine and immediately turn on the vacuum cleaner, sawdust and dust that remains inside the machine is also drawn into the vacuum cleaner, after turning off the machine, the vacuum cleaner works for about five seconds (pulls dust out of the hose) and turns itself off.
I cut the bottles by eye, since when processing with a building hair dryer, PET plastic shrinks both in diameter and length, and if you cut it off by 12 cm, then after processing with hot air, the tube can become about 8 cm long (approximately). (you can see on the next photos)
About 1 cm receded from the bottom, and from the neck in the place where the bottle began to narrow.

I took a copper wire with a cross-section of 2.5 sq. Mm and screwed them onto the hose and chip removal tubes of the machine.
Now you can process the tube with hot air.
I put it on the machine's chip collector and inserted the hose from the vacuum cleaner.
I started to process it with hot air until it sits down tightly, so that the hose does not pop out!I treated it with a temperature of 400 ° C, since the bottles used for this homemade product are denser, and at a lower optimal temperature they shrink slowly, but I had to quickly implement this idea and continue working with sawing all wood-containing material.
When treating PET with hot air, I advise you to drive the hair dryer from side to side smoothly and do not keep it in one place, then the PET will “shrink” evenly. (rough edges are visible in the photo above).
Before working with this idea, I took off the finished chip removal and found that it began to” crunch “, I do not know how long it will” live “, but decided to strengthen the chip removal for the machine …
Due to constant grazing of the hose, it may delaminate and begin to deform inside , and as a result, the first pipe or the last may pop up, information is not accurate , but it is better to foresee a possible problem.
I will strengthen with sticks from cotton swabs.
Strengthening will not be given by sticks, but by the PET shape on top of these sticks.
I cut off the ends with the cotton wool with a clerical knife and trimmed them so that these sticks were between the wire rings.

Cut off a strip from the skein and then cut into two smaller strips.
Then I wound the sticks. The tape will remain inside, as it will not interfere in any way.
After wearing the next straw and treated with hot air.
Like the fourth the tube was processed with a hairdryer, so I decided to make inscriptions on the ends of the chip collector.
For what it is necessary to remove the homemade adapter for the chip collector, and how to put it back on, you will have to spend time, since the outer diameters of the hose and the chip collector of the machine are almost the same, but this adapter is hard to put on and take off (this is good) …
Posted marker directly on a skein of white duct tape “saw table” and “vacuum cleaner”.
I cut it off with a clerical knife and stuck it on the adapter.
Now you can put on the last tube and process it with hot air.
Here, because of my haste, the inscription deteriorated, the marker did not have time to dry and the letters were smeared, the PET-tube shifted when sitting down and erased the inscription, the main thing is that the rest remains 🙂
After cooling down I removed the plastic (with difficulty from the machine) and cut the uneven edge and pulled out the wire from the inside by prying it with an awl.
Even when the machine stands to one side the adapter on the chip removal does not interfere.
Now you can safely work and breathe deeply without using a respirator when cutting wood-containing material.
The photo was taken in the process of work, of course the dust has not gone anywhere, but it has become much cleaner and I do not use a respirator.
Such an adapter can be made for any power tool.
