Greetings to all lovers of tinkering, I propose for consideration the instructions for making a simple wind generator from scratch. This generator can be used to charge the battery for further energy use. Of course, such a generator needs voltage stabilization and other electronics, since wind gusts are not stable, and the voltage amplitude is unknown. One way or another, I propose to consider this project in more detail, since the author shows interesting techniques for making such devices.

– neodymium magnets;
– copper wire for winding coils;
– a small freon cylinder;

– a square pipe of a small cross-section;
– plumbing pipe (for making blades;
– bolts and nuts.

The process of making homemade products:
Step one. Manufacturing the rotor body
We are making the rotor body, for this the author cut out a ring from a gas cylinder, under this ring a circle was cut out of sheet steel and everything is well welded.
Finally, after careful marking, the author welded the bolts. The blades are screwed in with these bolts. Of course, for the sake of greater reliability, it is better to drill holes for the bolts and fasten them with nuts, and then you can weld them. Otherwise, a strong gust of wind can damage the structure.
Further in the center we weld the axle, the author cut it off from the rotor of the electric motor, and found the bearings in the same place.
Step two. Stator housing
The stator housing is manufactured in the same way as the rotor housing. In the center, we drill a hole for the axle, and we also make a cage for the bearings. The author simply took a piece of pipe, cut out the excess and then welded the pipe to the diameter of the bearings. We weld the clip to the stator.
A piece of round pipe is welded on the reverse side, the windmill will be attached to this pipe, and the tail will also be screwed here.
Step three. Winding and casting spools
The author wound the coils using a winding machine, the thickness of the wire is unknown, the author got 300 turns on each coil. All coils are connected in series.
After installing the coils in the stator, the whole thing is filled with epoxy. Similarly, the magnets are poured with epoxy resin, after a day the resin will harden, and the generator can be assembled.
Step four. Blades manufacturing
The author made the blades from a plumbing pipe. I just cut pieces of pipe, and then heated and flattened them so that they became flat. Finally, the blades are screwed onto square pipes. To get the desired angle, pieces of pipes can be welded to the pipes at the desired angle, for example, 45 degrees.
Step five. Wind turbine assembly and testing
The wind turbine was placed on the axle from the wheel, the hub itself was welded to the vertically fixed pipe.
We fasten the blades with nuts, and here it is advisable to use nuts with lock washers so that they do not loosen from vibrations.
To wind turbine turned against the wind and worked, we fasten the tail. That's all, we connect the cable and take measurements. For demonstration, the author connected room fans to the homemade product. What real characteristics such a wind machine will have is questionable.
