The administration of President Donald trump is preparing to close all international offices of citizenship and immigration of the United States in 21 countries, which could slow down the processing of family visa applications, foreign adoptions, and cases on citizenship by the military.

In an email to the Director of the Francis Cissna it is reported that he is working to transfer the responsibilities of staff in the offices of their colleagues worldwide — in domestic offices, embassies

and consulates Department of State.

Cessna noted that if the state Department agrees, the Agency will close its international offices in coming months “with the aim of maximising the finite resources of the Agency”.

The staff of citizenship and immigration, the U.S. has about 240 employees in the U.S. and other

countries of the world.
