As soon as Ukraine will cancel the transit of Russian gas through its territory, Kyiv will lose about 3-5 billion. This statement was made by the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Vadim Rabinovich.
A leading analyst of the national energy security Fund Igor Yushkov commented on RT the statement of the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and the President of the party “Opposition platform For life” Vadim Rabinovich.
“Indeed, Ukraine is losing about $3 billion To $5 billion, they still turned down, so Kiev is not received. Of course, it would be a big blow for the country, because the sources of income she has now is not very much, especially when nothing to do. That is, in Soviet times, they laid the pipe on site — and they, even especially it is not repairing, the revenues. Plus it’s such a economic-political status of Ukraine, it is a transit country. Without transit — the big question, to whom the country is going to need as a political player,” — said the expert.

He also noted that conversations about the lack of a transit agreement is premature.
“More than six months can be negotiated, they have not been declared invalid, the trilateral Commission still exists. From the Russian side, on the contrary, all are optimistic, we intend to maintain transit”, — said Yushkov.
