Greetings to all lovers of homemade products and those who just looked at the site in search of interesting ideas. Today I present to your attention a simple homemade product for a summer residence. From the title of the article, you already understand what will be discussed, and exactly how to make a reel for convenient storage and operation of a garden watering hose. For its manufacture, the author used parts from a car. Everything is quite simple and understandable, the complexity of homemade products is below average. I am sure that on Samodelkin's website there is more than one such design, this one will be an addition, so that, so to speak, there is something to choose from. Moreover, the summer cottage season is coming to an end, there are fewer works on the site, and you can already relax a little and calmly work out for your soul and pleasure.

And so, first of all, the author prepared the basic materials for manufacturing. Then he cut off a corner from the pipe so that it did not interfere. Next, the author cut the pipe into blanks of the required length, from which the coil frame will be welded.
Now the author takes two blanks, adjusts them at the desired angle relative to each other and puts marks (lines) with the help of a square, and cuts the ends of the blanks along them. It joins them with slices and welds them. Then he takes another pair of such blanks and does the same.
At this stage, the author takes two previously welded parts frames and another piece of pipe. Lays out everything as shown in the photo. He also performs marking, then cuts the ends and welds all three parts.
And so the frame can be said to be ready. Now you need to install the hub on it. Its author did not adjust it, did not cut it off, that is, used it as it is. First, the author tried on the mechanism to the frame, put the marks, as shown in the photo. Then I cut the protruding pipes. After trying on the hub again in the resulting gap, everything becomes perfect. Next, the author welds the hub into place.
At this stage, the author welded to the frame crossbar, under the hub, a small stop from a piece of pipe, apparently so that the finished coil does not tip over forward, because a disk will be fixed on the hub. Nothing is complicated here either, the end of the tube is pre-processed, then fitting and welding is performed.
Also at this stage, the author welded an L-shaped handle for easy carrying of the coil. The handle is also welded from pipe sections.
< br>And so the frame is ready, now you need to prepare the disc. Its author cleans with a grinder with a metal brush attachment. Then he welds two additional elements – a nut (a handle will be screwed into it) and a plate to fix the end of the hose.
At this stage, on a homemade wood lathe (based on a drill), the author turned a handle. I drilled a through hole in it in the center for the entire length. The pen can be picked up and ready, here as it is more convenient for you.
And so all the elements are ready, now they need to be painted. The author paints the disc yellow, and the frame and handle black for aesthetics and contrast.
After painting, when the coating is dry, the author assembles the coil. Everything is simple here, the disk is bolted to the hub, and the handle is screwed to it with a long bolt. That's basically it. Below is a demonstration in the case and the manufacturing process on video.
