HANOI: Kimberly Ong gained Singapore’s second wushu gold on the thirty first SEA Games on Saturday (May 14) within the girls’s daoshu and gunshu mixed occasion.
Ong took gold forward compatriot Zoe Tan and Vietnam’s Hoang Thi Phoung Giang.
On Friday, Ong had scored 9.69 within the gunshu part, and was in third. She then topped the daoshu occasion on Saturday.
Ong and Tan’s medals are Singapore’s fourth and fifth within the sport on the Games.
Earlier within the day, Chan Jun Kai gained Singapore’s first wushu gold within the males’s taijijian occasion.
On Friday, Jowen Ong clinched silver within the males’s changquan occasion. Chan took bronze for Singapore within the males’s taijiquan.
